OUR OCEAN-POWERED MISSION

We started Nuoceans to do something about the waste we couldn’t ignore. By turning ocean waste flip-flops into recycled, vegan sandals, we challenge how products are made and what they’re made from. Because the future doesn’t need more stuff. It needs better choices.

So far, we’ve recovered over 8 tonnes of discarded flip-flops from the ocean.
That’s around 300g of waste in every pair of Nuos.

Made from recycled cork, recycled Eva and recycled PVC. And, fully recyclable to keep the cycle going.
MADE FROM OCEAN WASTE
300g of ocean waste EVA foam rescued per pair. Due to the nature of the waste, every pair is unique.
VEGAN & CRUELTY FREE
No leather no animal glues, no compromises. 100% cruelty-free, because this should be the standard.

Made in Spain under strict EU standards. Safe, ethical and always fair.

We keep virgin materials to a minimum. My making products that last longer, we use fewer resources.
EXTRA COMFORT
Due to a cushioned foamlayer on top of the footbed, it offers extra comfort for all day wear.

Vegan leather made from a blend of recycled PVC & Polyester - or, on the Coco model, bio-based palm fibre.


cork footbed

A blend of recycled cork, sourced from ground cork waste and repurposed cork stoppers, and natural latex, used for our soft foam layer on top enhancing extra support and comfort.

COLOURFUL ICONIC MIDSOLE

Made from 100% recycled ocean-recovered flip-flops, held together with minimal non-toxic water based glue.

Every pair rescues around 300g of flip-flop waste.


Outsole

Made from recycled pre-consumer EVA, utilising waste materials from the shoe manufacturing process.
